Provo Fruit Harvest and Canning Program.
Fruit rotting on the ground is a sad thing... With so many wild fruit trees in Provo, it is a wonder why no one has gotten up a community service team to go and harvest these trees for distribution and canning. Much of the fruit is perfectly good. Anyone who has reached up and plucked down a handfull of tart wild plums and munched on them knows it makes a great snack. It might even make some great plum jelly. But that is not all that grows around here.
I am hoping to get together a crew of friends who would be interested in learning how to harvest fruit trees and make preserves and canned fruit. If you are interested, let me know.
